VIP Project Due: Monday, Feb. 24

Each child has chosen a very important person to complete a diorama and trading card on. Both pieces of the project are due on the 24th of February. Looking forward to seeing all the final projects, students' work will be on display during Open House!

HALF-DAY: Thursday, Feb. 27

Students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m., Crosswalk is available until 6:00 p.m.

Open House and Art Show: Thursday, February, 27

Come and see the work your child has done this year! Open House is from 7-8 p.m. Classrooms and Main Auditorium will be open with displays of student work. This is also a great time to check the 3rd grade classes for next year.

In-Class Speech Meet: Tuesday, Mar. 18

Parents are invited to attend our in-class speech meet on Tuesday, March 18th from 10:15 a.m.- 11:00 p.m. This will take place in our classroom, if you need another copy of your child's piece please let me know!

February Book Club Due: Monday, Feb. 10th

If you'd like to place an order for the month of February please return the order form to me by Monday the 10th. Parents can also place on order online to purchase books.

Vacation to Mars Performance: Wednesday, Feb. 12th

The second grade classes have been practicing a short musical titled "Vacation to Mars," that they will perform this week! All the practices for the songs and script parts have taken place in class. Our performance is Wednesday, February, 12th at 2:00 p.m. in the main auditorium.

Valentine's Day: Friday, Feb. 14th
If you'd like to send valentines cards to class on Friday with your child, please make sure there is one for every student we have 15 students. A class list will be sent home on Monday, Feb. 10th!

Super Hero Spirit Day: Friday, Feb. 21st

Very Important Person Project Due: Monday, Feb. 24th

Information went home for the VIP project due in February. All students have a person they have chosen and will be making a trading card and diorama at home.  Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

Speech Meet

Students made selections for our Speech Meet last week, either a poem or scripture verse. Students will be required to memorize their selection and perform during an in-class Speech Meet during the week of March 17- 21. If you need multiple copies please let me know!
