Mar. 24- Mar. 28

Hi Parents, Families, and Friends! The following is what we have planned for the week:
 
All-School Speech Meet: Friday, March 28- 12:00 p.m.
Please feel free to join us as we support the students who have made it to the all-school Speech Meet. The Speech meet begins in the Main Auditorium at 12:00 p.m.
 
End of 3rd Quarter
Friday, March 28th is the end of 3rd quarter. Report cards will be sent home the following week!
 
Accreditation Visit
As a school, we have been planning and preparing for a dual accreditation. We received accreditation in January from the WASC organization and are anticipating a visit from the ACSI team for accreditation in April. The visiting team will be here April 6-9, during this time they will be observing in classrooms, talking with students, faculty, administration and parents. Our team consists of 5 women, feel free to welcome them if you see them on campus!
 
The following are our spelling words and homework for the week:

Monday: Spelling- 3x each, Math- 8.7, Reading- 15 minutes
Tuesday: Spelling- 5 definitions, Math- 8.8, Reading- 15 minutes
Wednesday: Spelling- 10 sentences, Math- 8.9, Reading- 15 minutes
Thursday: Spelling- ABC order, Math- 8.10, Reading- 15 minutes

Mar. 17- Mar. 21

Hi Parents, Families and Friends! We continue to have busy weeks as we are heading into the Spring, a few things to keep in mind for the week:

In-Class Speech Meet- Tuesday, March 18
Students have been practicing their Speech Meet pieces for more than a month and we are excited to hear their presentations! Please make sure to practice the next few days so your child feels well prepared!

Spring Pictures- Thursday, March 20
We will have our Spring pictures this Thursday, there are no make-up pictures for this session.

Half-Day- Friday, March 21
We have a half-day this Friday, March 21st. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m., Crosswalk will be available until 6:00 p.m.

The following are our spelling words and home work for the week:
hundred, field, certain, fossil, dinner, pepper, publish, better, fuzzy, pencil

Monday: Spelling-3x each, Math- 8.4, Reading- 15 minutes
Tuesday: Spelling- 5 definitions, Math- 8.5, Reading- 15 minutes
Wednesday: Spelling- 10 sentences, Math- 8.6, Reading- 15 minutes
Thursday: Spelling- ABC order, Math- 8.7, Reading- 15 minutes

Hello Parents, Families, and Friends:

In-Class Speech Meet: Tuesday, March 18
We will have our in-class Speech Meet on Tuesday, March 18th. Students need to have their pieces completely memorized and will present their piece to our class and a panel of judges. Please let me know if your child needs another copy of their piece to practice.

Monday: Spelling- 3x each, Math- chpt. 7 review, Reading- 15 minutes
Tuesday: Spelling- 5 definitions, Math- NO HOMEWORK, Reading- 15 minutes
Wednesday: Spelling- 10 sentences, Math- 8.1, Reading- 15 minutes
Thursday: Spelling- ABC order, Math- 8.2, Reading- 15 minutes

Mar. 3- Mar. 7

Hello Parents, Families, and Friends! It was wonderful to see most of you at Open House, thank you for coming! This is what we've got planned for the week:


AUCTION!!!
The online auction to raise support for art, library, and technology has already started. You can also join us for the live auction this Friday, March 7th from 6-9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in the office. We have some great items you can bid on, including a class item that we worked hard to put together!

March Book Order Due: Monday, March 10
Scholastic Book Orders for the month of March will be sent home Monday, March 3rd. If you'd like to purchase books for this month please return the order form to me or place the order on-line before Monday, March 10th, thank you!
