Week 6: Sept. 26- Sept. 30

  It's our sixth week of school, we have our first Character Trait Chapel on Thursday and Friday is a minimum day! Enjoy the week!

Character Trait Chapel: Thursday, Sept. 29

The following students will be receiving a Character Trait Award for our first quarter:

All are welcome to join us for chapel at 2:20 p.m. in the new building across from the 1st and 2nd grade classrooms!

Half-Day: Friday, Sept. 30

Students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. Crosswalk will be available until 6:00 p.m.

The following are our spelling words and homework for the week:

Please have you child practice these words through-out the week, there will be a test on Friday!

Monday: Spelling- 3x each/wordsearch, Math- 2.6, Reading-15 minutes

Tuesday: Writing prompt, Math- 2.7, Reading- 15 minutes

Wednesday: Leveled reading book with comprehension questions, Math- 2.8, Reading- 15 minutes

Thursday: Fluency Page, Math- 2.9, Reading- 15 minutes

Friday: Reading- 15 minutes

Week 5: Sept. 19- 23

  It's our fifth week of school, we have a visit from the Sherriff's Department to look forward to, we'll be making an apple pie in-class and we'll also be completing some writing assessments!

Week 4: Sept. 12- Sept. 16

  It's our fourth week of school, we have our first field trip, Picture Day, K-2 Chapel and another fun Mystery Science activity to look forward to!

Picture Day: Tuesday, September 13

We will be taking fall school pictures this day. If you would like your child to wear something specific for pictures they will be given an opportunity to change if they need to prior to the pictures!

First Field Trip: Wednesday, September 14

Our first field trip will be Wednesday, September 14! We will be traveling to Mt.Hermon Camp and Conference Center to complete a challenge course as a class! Permission slips are due by Monday, Sept. 12th! Please make sure your child wears close-toed shoes, layered clothing with pants, and brings his her own lunch. Also, if your child is not already 8 years old they will need to bring a booster seat, thank you!

K-2 Chapel: Thursday, September 15

All are welcome to join us for our chapel service this week. We are meeting on the main floor of the new building across from the 1st and 2nd grade classrooms. Chapel begins at 2:25 p.m.

Week 3: Sept. 6- Sept. 9

Thank you to all the parents that attended Back to School Night. It was wonderful to meet you and give you a sense of what to expect this year. If you were not able to make it please feel free to contact me with questions as our year progresses! It's our third week of school, ask you child about Mystery Science, what apple activity we do this week and if they made a fall leaf!

Labor Day: NO SCHOOL

We will have NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 5th in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy the long weekend, see you Tuesday!

Spirit Day: Friday, September 9th

Come dressed to school in your favorite sports team gear! Don those jerseys and t-shirts and show some sports spirit!
