It's our 14th week of school, we have a jammed packed week full of fun activities. In Science we'll be talking about weather for the month of December and in Social Studies we'll be talking about Christmas around the world! Don't forget to put Cookies, Carols and Cocoa on your calendar!

Cookies, Carols, Cocoa: Friday, December 9th

Join us for a wonderful afternoon filled with Christmas spirit. We will gather in the main auditorium at 2:00 p.m. Students will sing carols and cookies and cocoa will be available afterward. Hope you can make it!

Christmas Around the World Project: Due December 12th

Students have been given directions/rubric for this project. It is due Monday, December 12th, please see me if you have any questions!

Mitchellville

We will be gearing up to transform our classroom into Mitchellville for the second half of the year. Students will bring home the job descriptions and an application during their break. Please find a few jobs that would fit the talents of your child and have them be prepared to fill out the job application. More information to come!

Minimum Day: Friday, December, 23rd

Students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. Crosswalk will be available until 6:00 p.m.

Christmas Break: December 24- January 8th

Week 13: Nov. 14- Nov. 18

It's our 13th week of school, we have a jammed packed week full of fun Thanksgiving activities. Thank you in advance to those of you who are volunteering or helping to provide items for our Feast on Wednesday!  I'm looking forward to another GREAT week! 

Wednesday, November 16th: Feast Day

Both second grade classes will be participating in a feast day to honor the celebration of the first Thanksgiving. A reminder email will be sent out for those who are helping to provide items, the Feast begins at 2:00 p.m. in our classrooms!

NO SCHOOL: November 21-25

In observance of Thanksgiving, there will be no school for students on these days, enjoy the holiday!

It's our twelfth week of school, we've been investigating light and sound in Mystery Science and talking quite a bit about the election process in Social Studies. Note the upcoming dates on your calendar. I'm looking forward to another GREAT week!
