Week 4!

A few pictures of the yummy apple pie that we made together last week!



A few things to begin with... Friday, September 30th, is a half-day. Kids will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m., there is crosswalk until 6:00 p.m. Crosswalk students have an option to purchase a sack lunch to eat. Also, I will be out of town Friday (30th), Monday (3rd), Tuesday (4th), and Wednesday (5th). My husband and I had made travel plans prior to the beginning of the year that could not be canceled, Mrs. Besk will be filling in for each for those 3 1/2 days. I'm looking forward to another wonderful week, we'll be highlighting Johnny Appleseed at the start of the week. We'll also be making another delicious snack in class, ask your child about it!

Week 4 spelling words and homework is as follows:


cuddle, favorite, world, patient, nose, side, five, country, greet, phone

Monday: Spelling- 3x each, Math- 2.1, Reading- 15 min.
Tuesday: Spelling- 15 sentences, Math- 2.2, Reading- 15 min.
Wednesday: Spelling- 5 definitions, Math- 2.3, Reading- 15 min.
Thursday: Spelling- ABC order, Math- 2.4, Reading- 15 min.
Friday: Reading- 15 min.

Week 3, Second Grade!

We have a lot planned for this week including making an apple pie, YUM!!! We will have a math Unit 1 test as well as a hearing and vision screening on Thursday, and a spelling test on Friday. Looking forward to another wonderful week!

The following are our weekly spelling words:

Homework:

Monday: Spelling- 3x each, Math- 1.11, Read 15 minutes
Tuesday: Spelling- 10 sentences, Math- 1.12, Read 15 minutes
Wednesday:
Spelling- 5 Definitions, Math- Chapter 1 Review, Read 15 minutes
Thursday: Spelling- ABC order, Read 15 Minutes
Friday: Read 15 minutes
