Nov./Dec.

Hi Parents and Families! Catch-up on a few of the things that we have going on in the next few weeks:

Spirit Day: 60's Day-Tuesday, November 25th
Students are welcome to come dressed in your best 60's wear (Tye-dye, bandannas, peace signs, bright flowers, bell-bottoms etc.) to celebrate Spirit Day!

Thanksgiving Break: November 26, 27, 28
Enjoy the break with friends and family, see you in December!

Scholastic Book Order: Due Tuesday, December 3rd
The December Scholastic Book order is coming home this week. If you'd like to order books for the month of December and receive them before our Christmas break, please return the order form to Mrs. McCutchen or place the order on-line by December 3rd. Thank you!

Christmas Around the World Project: Due Monday, December 15th
Information will be sent home this week about the upcoming Christmas Project. This is to be completed at home and returned on Monday, December 15th. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the project, have fun!

Carols, Cookies and Cocoa: Tuesday, December 16th
Come enjoy some cookies and carols after school on December 16th with the entire school community. We will be gathering in Monscheke Hall at 3:15 p.m., please pick your child up at the steps before heading into the building. Students going to Cross-Walk will remain with their teacher until dismissed at the end of the program. Hope to see you there!

Christmas Break: December 22- January 2
Enjoy the break, see you in the New Year!

NO HOMEWORK THIS WEEK, ENJOY THANKSGIVING!

Nov. 17- Nov. 21

Hello Parents and Families! Thank you for checking the blog for updated information, here's what we have going on this week and beyond:

K-2 Chapel: Monday, November 17
All are welcome to attend our K-2 chapel from 2:25 p.m.-3:00 p.m. in Monscheke Hall!

Science Night: Thursday, November 20
Join us for a night of fun and exploration! Students and parents will rotate through 3 grade level science centers before the evening is through. This event is FREE (there is a fee for the optional dinner prior to Science Night), but if you are planning on attending please return the lime green paper (NO LATER THAN MONDAY THE 17th) so we can plan supplies accordingly, thank you!

December Book Club Order: Due Wednesday, December 3
 The Scholastic Book Club order will be going out within the week, if you'd like to place an order and receive it before our Christmas Break, please return the order form to Mrs. McCutchen or place the order online before December 3rd. Thank you!

Monday: Spelling-3x each, Math- 4.1, Reading- 15 minutes
Tuesday: Spelling- 5 definitions, Math- 4.2, Reading- 15 minutes
Wednesday: Spelling- 10 sentences, Math- 4.3, Reading- 15 minutes
Thursday: Spelling- ABC order, Math- 4.4, Reading- 15 minutes

Nov. 11- Nov. 14

Parents, thank you for taking the time to meet with me last week during our parent/teacher conferences! Also, a huge thank you to the families that donated a book or more to the classroom, what a wonderful gift!
Here's what we have going on this week and beyond:

NO SCHOOL: MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10th
In observance of Veteran's Day, there will be no school, see you on  Tuesday!

Science Night: Thursday, November 20
Join us for a night of fun and exploration! Students and parents will rotate through 3-4 grade level science centers before the evening is through. This week is an assessment week for Language Arts, there will not be a spelling test on Friday.

Wednesday: Spelling- Practice Page, Math- Chpt. 3 Review, Reading- 15 minutes
Thursday: Spelling- Practice Page, Math- test in class, no HW, Reading- 15 minutes

Hi Parents, Families and Friends! Thank you to all the parents who were able to attend and/or help with our Harvest Party last week, it was such fun! I am looking forward to seeing you this week for our parent/teacher conferences. Here is what else we have going this week:

Character Trait Award Chapel: November 3
Please join us at chapel on Monday in Monscheke Hall starting at 2:25 p.m., we will be awarding the following students for the First Quarter character traits:

Book Fair: November 4-7
This is a great opportunity to support our school and get an early jump on some Christmas shopping by getting books at our Book Fair, come see what is available!

Parent/Teacher Conferences: November 4-7
  I am really looking forward to meeting with you all and discussing how the first quarter has been for your child. Conference days are half-days, students are dismissed at 12:00 p.m. Cross-Walk will be available until 6:00 p.m. and free only for your designated conference time. Contact me with any questions!
