Oct. 29- Nov. 2

Hi Everyone! I hope you enjoyed your weekend, looking forward to another great week in Room 831!

Parent/Teacher Conferences: November 7-9
Just a reminder that Parent/Teacher conferences for the the 1st quarter are next week. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday students are dismissed at 12:00 p.m. I am looking forward to meeting with all of you during the week!

Our homework and spelling words are as follows:
wit, use, pupil, argue, cute, unit, music, few, rescue, menu

Monday: Spelling- 3x each, Math- 3.1, Reading- 15 minutes
Tuesday: Spelling- 10 sentences, Math- 3.2, Reading- 15 minutes
Wednesday: Spelling- 5 definitions, Math- 3.3, Reading- 15 minutes
Thursday: Spelling- ABC order, Math- 3.4, Reading- 15 minutes
Friday: Reading- 15 minutes

Oct. 22- Oct. 26

Hi Everyone! I hope you enjoyed the nice long weekend! We have another exciting week to look forward to! A few reminders of what is happening:

Chapel: Monday, October 22
Feel free to join us for chapel in the afternoon. It begins at 2:25 p.m. in Monschke Hall, all are welcome. If you usually help with centers on Monday, we will be having center time from 
1:00- 1:30 p.m. 
Parent/Teacher Conferences: Nov. 7-9
A huge thank you to all who have already confirmed your scheduled conference date and time! If you have not returned the half-sheet to confirm please do so this week. I am very flexible when it comes to conference time, please let me know if we need to choose a different time or date than what has been selected for you. Looking forward to meeting with you all!
Continued Prayers
Please continue to pray for Corrine McKendrick who was injured during our field trip last week! She will be off her feet for 8-10 weeks. Pray that healing from the surgery would happen quickly and give her patience as she rests!

Oct. 15- Oct. 17

Hi Parents, Families, and Friends! A few reminders about this short week:

Monday, October 15: Field Trip
We will be participating in a challenge course at Mt. Hermon. Please bring your child's carseat if they are younger than 8 years old. Adults and students who are attending all need to bring a bag lunch. Please wear layered, comfortable clothing. Pants work best for wearing a harness, a t-shirt, and sweatshirt would be great! Looking forward to a wonderful day!
October 18 and 19: NO SCHOOL
There will be no school on Thursday and Friday of this week, teachers  will be attending ACSI conferences. Cross-walk will not be available.
We will only be having math homework, no spelling, due to the short week!
Monday: Math- 2.10, Reading- 15 minutes
Tuesday: Math- 2.11, Reading- 15 minutes

Hello Everyone! Just a few reminders as we take a look ahead at the week:

Deadline for the Field Trip
Please make sure you have turned in the two permission slips and the $15 fee for our field trip by Monday, October 8. If you need another form or more time please let me know. Those that have volunteered to drive or chaperone I will be connecting with you this week via email, stay posted for details, thank you!
Scholastic Book Order
If you'd like to order books for the month of October, the order form is due by Monday, October 15. You can also place your order on-line!
K-2 Chapel Service: Monday, October 8 2:25 p.m.
Please feel free to join us this Monday for the K-2 chapel service held in Monschke Hall at 2:25 p.m.  If you regularly volunteer Monday afternoons during our center time, we will be doing centers at 1:00- 1:30 p.m. and attending the chapel service in the afternoon.
