Hello Friends and Family! We have a great week planned, here's a bit of what we're up to for the week:

Second Quarter Report Cards

Second quarter report cards will be passed out towards the end of the week. Keep up the great work as we head into third quarter!

Very Important Person Project

Keep your eyes open for a packet that will be sent home at the end of week explaining the details of our Very Important Person Project. These dioramas will be due before the end of February so they can be on display during Open House.

100th Day of School

What a huge accomplishment, we will reach the 100th day of school next Tuesday, February 5th! Ask your student how we celebrated this special day in class!

The following are our spelling words and homework for the week:

Monday: Spelling- 3x each, Math- 6.1/math facts, Reading- 15 minutes

Tuesday: Spelling- 10 sentences, Math- 6.2/math facts, Reading- 15 minutes

Wednesday: Spelling- 5 definitions, Math- 6.3/math facts, Reading- 15 minutes

Thursday: Spelling- ABC order, Math- 6.4/math facts, Reading- 15 minutes

Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed the break with family and friends! Just a few things to note:

Gym Schedule Change

Due to scheduling conflicts in the upper grades, our class will have a new schedule for gym every other Monday. The following dates we will attend gym from 2:15 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. Please take note especially if you are a regular volunteer on Monday mornings. The other Mondays not listed we will have gym at our regular time, 9:00 a.m.- 9:50 a.m. Thursdays will remain the same.

Class Party Dates

The following will be our class party dates for the remainder of the school year. Mark you calendars if you'd like to attend or participate. As each date approaches information will be sent out through Sign Up Genius for what's needed and ways you can each help!

Valentines: Feb. 14, St. Patrick's Day: Mar. 15, Easter: Mar. 29, End of the Year: Jun. 6

Classroom Supplies

Please make sure that your student is supplied with his or her own pencils, erasers and coloring tools for the remainder of the year. If you'd like to help provide classroom supplies, the following is a list of what needs to be replenished: baby wipes (box from Costco), snacks :20 count (granola bars, fruit snacks, fruit leather, etc.), paper towels (3-4 rolls), Kleenex (3-4 boxes). Thank you!
