Oct. 26- Oct. 30

Hello Parents and Families! We had a great time last week on our first field trip! Thank you to ALL the parents who volunteered their time and transportation! We have a busy week ahead, check out what we have going on!

AR Party
Congratulations to the following students who met their AR goal for the 1st Quarter:
Josh D., Jake, E., Catherine F., Libby F., Bella L., Rose L., Aryel M., Stryder S., and Bella T. We all will be having lunch today together and enjoying popsicles, great job! New AR goals have already been set for 2nd Quarter, have fun reading!

Harvest Party: Tuesday, 27th
All are welcome to join us for our Harvest Party Tuesday afternoon from 2:15-3:00 p.m. Students will rotate through a few Harvest stations and enjoy some yummy treats! Looking forward to the fun! Parents can sign-up to bring items through the class Shutterfly account!

Parent-Teacher Conferences: Wednesday, 28- Friday, 30
I am looking forward to meeting with parents this week to discuss your child's 1st Quarter progress. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. each of these days, Crosswalk will be available until 6:00 p.m. (Crosswalk will be FREE during your half-hour conference time). See you this week!

K-2 Chapel: Monday, 2nd
Join us in Monscheke Hall for Chapel beginning at 2:25 p.m., all are welcome!

NO SCHOOL: Wednesday, 11
In observance of Veteran's Day, there will be NO SCHOOL!!

Oct.19- Oct. 23



We will continue our Science unit on animals, specifically focusing on owls and bats! We will be making pumpkin ice cream this week, yumm! In Social Studies we will continue learning about our community and how to use map skills. Continue to encourage your student to be taking AR tests at home, they have until the end of this week to reach their goal for first quarter, 5.0 points!!

Drive for Schools
Thank you for all the donations towards our Drive for Schools fundraiser, you are all awesome!
 
K-2 Chapel, Monday, October 19
Feel free to join us for chapel this afternoon in Monchecke Hall beginning at 2;25 p.m.

First Field Trip: Thursday, Oct. 22
  We'll be completing a ropes challenge course, Discovery Grove,  at the Mt. Hermon Hermon Camp and Conference Center in Felton. A few things to remember: bring a lunch, wear layered clothing, pants and close-toed shoes, bring a booster for your child if they need it!
 
Parent-Teacher Conferences: Oct. 28-30
These are minimum days, students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. Cross-Walk will be available until 6:00 p.m., sign-ups for conference times will coming home this week!

During the week of Parent-Teacher conferences (Oct. 26-30) you can check-out the selection of books available for purchase during the Fall Book Fair!

We'll be conducting a fun experiment called "Blubber-Mitt" this week (we weren't able to get to it last week), ask your student about it! In Social Studies we will continue learning about our community and how to use map skills. Continue to encourage your student to be taking AR tests at home as well as jumping on Khan Academy to play some math games.

LAST WEEK for Drive for Schools
Please continue selling tickets for Drive for Schools, all the proceeds benefit our school! Donations can be turned into the office or placed in your child's student planner, thank you!
 
First Field Trip: Thursday, Oct. 22
  We'll be completing a ropes challenge course, Discovery Grove,  at the Mt. Hermon Hermon Camp and Conference Center in Felton. Don't forget to turn in those permission slips, I will be contacting parents to drive and chaperone this week!

Family Movie Night: Friday, Oct. 9
Join us for a free movie and popcorn on the baseball field! Bring a blanket or lawn chair, the movie begins at 7:00 p.m.
