We are almost at the end of January, wow! We have been continuing to study the life of Moses in our bible lessons, we have entered our Solar System unit in Science and have just finished place value and expanded notation in Math. Mitchellville is off to a great start, the students are learning alot of responsibility and how to work together! We will be organizing a "fitness" basket for our class item to be entered in the on-line auction. You can approach Mrs. McCutchen or Tara F. if you have questions about that specifically or would like to help put the basket together. Please stay tuned into the blog for weekly updates!

Upcoming Field-Trip: Friday, February 19
We have the privilege of viewing the performance of "The Little Mermaid" presented by Christian Youth Theater (CYT). The performance begins at 12:30 p.m. and we will be walking to the Crocker Theater on the Cabrillo College campus. More information to come!
Homework Changes
Spelling words have increased to 15 words per week, although home only includes 10 of these words. Students write all 15 in their Student Planners at the beginning of the week and they are posted on the blog as well. Math homework will be increasing to two-pages beginning with chapter 7. Both pages are to be done at home and returned the following day along with their spelling homework.

Monday: Spelling- 3x each, Math- 7.1, Reading- 15 minutes
Tuesday: Spelling- wordsearch, Math- 7.2, Reading- 15 minutes
Wednesday: Spelling- 10 sentences, Math- 7.3, Reading- 15 minutes
Thursday: Spelling- ABC order, Math- 7.4, Reading 15 minutes
