Welcome Back to School!!
I hope you had a fantastic summer, I am really looking forward to our year together! We have a lot of fun activities and projects planned for the year, most of which will be explained in detail at
Back to School Night (Thursday, September 3, 6:30-8:00).
As we get started with the school year, you can expect your students to bring home the following each week in their student planner:
- 1 Page of Spelling Homework- completed and returned the following day
- 1 Page of Math Homework- completed and returned the following day
- Weekly Reader- read at home, complete the 2 comprehension questions, parent signature, returned on Friday
Also included in our nightly homework is 15 minutes of reading. Beginning in September students will keep track of their nightly reading using a Reading Log, returned at the end of each month. Students should study their spelling words at home for a test every Friday.
Our classroom blog is a place to stay informed about upcoming events, special projects, due dates and weekly reminders. The blog is updated at the start of each week.
Spelling Words and Homework for the Week:

Monday: Spelling- 3x each, Math- 1.1, Reading- 15 Minutes
Tuesday: Spelling- 5 Definitions, Math- 1.2, Reading- 15 Minutes
Wednesday: Spelling- 10 sentences, Math- 1.3, Reading- 15 Minutes
Thursday: Spelling- ABC order, Math- 1.4, Reading- 15 Minutes
