October, Week 6!

Hi All! We have quite a few events to look forward to in the month of October:

  • Pumpkin Week: As we have entered harvest season we plan on making some delicious pumpkin ice cream and pumpkin soup. We also would like to do some pumpkin investigating, thus we need about 7-8 large pumpkins for our class. If you'd like to donate a pumpkin please drop it by our classroom some time this week, thanks!
  • Science Night (Tues. October 18, 6:30-8:30): This is a family event for all and it's going to be AWESOME! Students and families will rotate through three stations to participate in fun interactive science activities. Sign-up if you haven't already!
  • Field Trip (Tues. October 25): I'm really looking forward to our first filed trip of the year! We will leave school around 9 am and head up to Discovery Grove at Mt. Hermon. This is a low ropes challenge course specifically designed for kids ages 6-12. After completing the ropes course together we'll eat lunch and return to school. We will need willing parents to drive and help during the course of the day, parents can also participate in the ropes course! The cost per participant will be $15. I will be sending more information home this week. Please let me know if you have any questions!
