It's our 21st week of school!. We will be studying the solar system in science for the remainder of this month and into February. Ask your child about the phases of the moon this week! In Social Studies we will be concentrating on map skills and economics! Mitchellville is running smoothly!

Very Important Person Project
Your child will be coming home today with the specifics of this project including a grading rubric. The final project will be due Tuesday, February 21. All projects will be on display at our Open House night! Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the project!
Half-Day: Thursday, February 23
Students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. Cross-Walk will be available until 6:00 p.m.
Open House: Thursday, February 23
Come check out what we've been up to this year! Student work will be on display, all are welcome. Classrooms will be open from 7-8 p.m. This is always a great time to check out the 3rd grade classrooms and meet the next year's teachers!

Tuesday: Spelling- Writing Prompt, Math- 7.2, Reading- 15 minutes
Wednesday: Spelling- Fluency Page, Math- 7.3, Reading-15 minutes
Thursday: Spelling- ABC order/Pre-test, Math- 7.4, Reading- 15 minutes
Friday: Reading- 15 minutes
